The Community Foundation’s Partner Luncheon

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Community Foundation’s Partner Luncheon —an inspiring afternoon grounded in gratitude, shared purpose, and reminders of the power of collective impact.

The event opened with newly appointed Board Chair Victor Branch, reflecting on how he has witnessed local philanthropy evolve to become more strategic, collaborative, and focused. He emphasized the importance of connecting with real community needs, committing to a shared vision, and coming together to build a more inclusive region where everyone can thrive and prosper.

CEO Sherrie Armstrong echoed these statements by outlining the Foundation’s strategic focus on expanding engagement, committing to a long-term economic mobility agenda with deeper investments in early childhood education, workforce development and affordable housing, and building regional cross-sector partnerships to accelerate change and alignment through efforts like RVA Rising.

Throughout the afternoon, stories of impact were shared and celebrated, from individuals taking action to public-private partnerships looking to scale collective efforts. As we look ahead, the focus is clear: our community is stronger when we move forward together. With your continued partnership, we are moving from progress to transformation and creating an environment where everyone can succeed.
