Emerging Nonprofit Leaders Program

The Emerging Nonprofit Leaders Program (ENLP) is a dynamic, nine-month leadership program for the next generation of nonprofit leaders in the Greater Richmond region. For over 15 years, ENLP has been creating space for area leaders to invest in themselves, uncovering potential, building community and strengthening the nonprofit sector.

Program Format

Learning Sessions

Learning sessions cover variety of leadership and nonprofit topics. The day-long sessions are facilitated by trusted, local consultants and leaders in the sector. Past topics include:

  • Healing Informed Leadership
  • Effective Feedback and Coaching
  • Managing Conflict
  • Leadership Longevity
  • Social Innovation

Coaching Sessions

Each participant is matched with a professional coach and receives five 1-hour coaching sessions.

Important Details

Eligibility
  • Participants must be currently employed, full-time, by a nonprofit in metro Richmond or Tri-Cities 
  • One applicant per organization, organization must choose candidate. 
Tuition

Program tuition for the 2026 - 2027 program was $1800. Scholarships are available.  

Application Process

Program consideration requires an application which includes the submission of a: 

  • Personal statement 
  • Resume 
  • Online nomination from CEO/ED

Applications will open June 10th, 2027.

  • January 13th
  • February 10th
  • March 17th
